Backlink / Domain Authority
Definition
A backlink is a link from another website pointing to yours, and search engines treat it as a vote of credibility. Domain Authority is a score that estimates how likely a website is to rank in search results, based partly on the quality and quantity of its backlinks. Example: A local news site features an article about a cosmetic surgery practice’s new nonsurgical fat reduction treatment and links back to the practice’s website. That backlink helps boost the practice’s domain authority and can improve its rankings for related searches.
