Click-Through Rate (CTR)
Definition
The percentage of people who click on an ad or link after seeing it, calculated by dividing clicks by total impressions. It’s a key metric for measuring how compelling an ad or headline is. Example: A cosmetic surgery practice notices their Google Ad for “mommy makeover” has a low CTR compared to other ads. They rewrite the ad copy to highlight financing options, which raises the CTR and drives more traffic to the site.
